BALTIMORE, July 24 (UPI) -- Tyler Chatwood tossed seven effective innings and rookie Mike Trout belted a three-run homer Sunday in the Los Angeles Angels' 9-3 blitz of Baltimore.
Chatwood (6-6) broke a personal three-game winless streak, limiting the Orioles to two runs on six hits while issuing no walks and striking out five.
The right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.64 with Sunday's victory.
The Angels were clinging to a 3-2 lead in the eighth when Alberto Callaspo and Howie Kendrick led off with singles and one out later Trout blasted his first major homer into the left field stands for a three-run shot.
Torii Hunter added a two-run blast later in the inning and the Angels took the rubber match of a three-game series at Camden Yards.
Baltimore's Jeremy Guthrie (4-14) was saddled with his fifth loss in six starts, yielding three runs on six hits over seven innings.
Nick Markakis went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and Adam Jones added a two-run blast for the O's.
