HOUSTON, July 23 (UPI) -- A singer alleges that former NBA player Ron Francis pawed her during an encounter at his record-label office in Texas last year.
TMZ.com said the police report filed by Shauna Simien in May 2010 contends Francis "groped" her outside the office during a discussion about the contract he had signed with his label.
Simien told police she screamed at Francis to stop, at which time some friends she had brought along as backup hustled over and broke up the encounter.
No charges have been filed against the onetime Houston Rocket, although law enforcement sources told TMZ the case was still open. Simien says she is considering a lawsuit against the district attorney's office due to the perceived lack of progress,
Francis had no comment on the matter.
