MLB: Pittsburgh 7, Houston 5 (11 innings)

HOUSTON, July 17 (UPI) -- Josh Harrison scored the go-ahead run on an 11th-inning passed ball Sunday and the Pittsburgh Pirates outlasted the Houston Astros 7-5.

Brandon Wood led off the Pirates' 11th with a double and Harrison came in to run. He went to third on an error by Astros pitcher Mark Melancon (5-3) on Xavier Paul's grounder and came home when catcher Humberto Quintero muffed a Melancon pitch.

The Pirates went on to score two more runs on Alex Presley's single and another Houston error, claiming the rubber match of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.

Presley finished 3-for-6 with three RBI and starting pitcher Kevin Correia knocked in two runs for the Pirates, who pulled into a three-way tie with Milwaukee and St. Louis atop the National League Central.

Chris Leroux (1-0) earned the victory with a scoreless 10th and Chris Resop notched his first save despite allowing a solo homer to Quintero in the bottom of the 11th.

Jeff Keppinger went 3-for-5, including a two-run homer, and scored three times for the Astros.
