Busch takes 100th NASCAR victory

LOUDON, N.H., July 16 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch became NASCAR's third career 100-race winner Saturday with his victory at the New England 200 Nationwide Series race in New Hampshire.

Busch forged into the lead with less than 35 laps remaining, passing Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and then holding off Kevin Harvick during three late-race restarts.

Busch ended 0.3 seconds ahead of Harvick in a green-white-checkered finish.

His latest win gives him 22 in Sprint Cup, 29 in the Camping World Truck Series and 49 in Nationwide -- tying him for the most career Nationwide victories with Mark Martin.

Richard Petty is the all-time leader in NASCAR wins with 200, followed by David Pearson with 106.

Finishing third Saturday was Kasey Kahne. Stenhouse finished fourth and Aric Almirola came in fifth.
