PHILADELPHIA, July 9 (UPI) -- Alex Gonzales stroked the go-ahead hit in the 11th inning Saturday and the Atlanta Braves went on to post a 4-1 win over Philadelphia.

Gonzalez stayed alive against Mike Stutes (3-1) when Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard dropped his foul pop, then sent a sharp hit to center, scoring Ramirez to make it 2-1.

Brian McCann followed by smashing a two-run homer to right and the Braves hung on for the win, evening their three-game series with the first-place Phillies.

Craig Kimbrel collected his 28th save and Braves starter Tommy Hanson yielded only one run on four hits in a seven-inning effort.

Dan Uggla socked a solo homer fifth inning for Atlanta.

Philadelphia's Cliff Lee ended a disappointing no-decision after holding Atlanta to only one run on three hits through eight innings, striking out nine.

The left-hander also drove in the Phillies' only run with his first career homer in the third inning. It was Lee's first shot in 108 lifetime at-bats.
