SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 9 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Lakers should be encouraged by reports of a spectacular dunk by Kobe Bryant, who underwent treatment on his right knee earlier this summer.

The Los Angeles Times said Saturday Bryant thrilled the kids at his Kobe Basketball Academy with a full 360 jam that apparently showed no sign of the issues that sent him to Germany a month ago for a form of platelet-rich plasma therapy.

Teammate Matt Barnes confirmed the performance via Twitter, saying Bryant was "running and jumping like he was 22 again."

Bryant hasn't talked much about his knee, the Times said, but he is still apparently on track for a barnstorming tour of China or even play in Turkey should the NBA lockout continue.
