Purdue player's body found in lake

LAKE FREEMAN, Ind., July 5 (UPI) -- A missing Purdue University football player's body was found in a lake Tuesday morning, Indiana authorities said.

Sean Matti, 22, was found floating 30 yards offshore in Lake Freeman by state Department of Natural Resources workers, the Carroll County Sheriff's Department told WLFI-TV, West Lafayette.

Matti, a senior running back, was last seen near the lake Sunday afternoon. Friends told DNR officers they were all drinking at the time.

The search began Sunday night.
