MILWAUKEE, July 4 (UPI) -- Juan Miranda drove in two runs during a comeback Monday in which the Arizona Diamondbacks overcame a five-run deficit and posted an 8-6 win over Milwaukee.
After spotting the Brewers a 6-1 lead, the Diamondbacks scored the next seven runs, including two in the ninth inning that provided the winning margin.
Miranda's RBI double in the sixth inning cut the Brewers' lead to 6-4 and his two-bagger in the eighth tied the score.
Chris Young delivered an RBI single in the ninth, giving Arizona its first lead, and Miguel Montero (3-for-5, solo homer) added an insurance run off John Axford (2-2) as Arizona rallied for a win in the first of a three-game set against Milwaukee.
Sean Burroughs contributed three hits and an RBI and Wily Mo Pena blasted a long solo homer as Arizona banged out 17 hits.
Sam Demel (2-2) earned the victory and David Hernandez picked up his fourth save after striking out the side in the bottom of the ninth.
Brewers starter Shaun Marcum clubbed a grand slam but surrendered four runs on seven hits in a six-inning start.
