MLB: Cincinnati 7, Cleveland 5

CINCINNATI, July 3 (UPI) -- Fred Lewis delivered a pair of RBI singles Sunday and the Cincinnati Reds scored seven straight runs in their 7-5 interleague win over Cleveland.

After spotting the Indians a two-run lead in the second, the Reds came right back for three in the bottom of the frame as Lewis drove in Miguel Cairo with the tie-breaking run.

Cincinnati extended its lead to 6-2 in the fourth with another three-run outburst triggered by Lewis' run-scoring hit and the Reds salvaged one win in their three-game Ohio rivalry series against the Tribe.

Chris Heisey and Edgar Reteria each added solo homers for Cincinnati.

Mike Leake (8-4) earned the win, despite yielding four runs on four hits in a six-inning effort, walking two and striking out eight.

Francisco Cordero racked up his 17th save with a scoreless ninth.

Cleveland's Mitch Talbot (2-5) stretched his winless streak to six starts after being rocked for six runs on 10 hits before in a four-inning effort.

Shelley Duncan went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer for the Indians.
