MLB: LA Dodgers 5, LA Angels 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., July 2 (UPI) -- Hiroki Kuroda pitched seven innings of three-hit, shutout ball Friday and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-0.

Kuroda (6-9) struck out four and walked one.

Tony Gwynn Jr. went 3-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored, Andre Ethier was 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and one run scored, and Aaron Miles went 4-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored for the Dodgers, who won for the first time in three games.

Gwynn also drew three walks, getting on base six times during the game.

Mike MacDougal and Javy Guerra each pitched a scoreless inning in relief for the Dodgers.

Starter Tyler Chatwood (5-5) was knocked around for four runs on 12 hits in five innings, with two walks and one strikeout for the Angels, who carried a three-game winning streak into the contest.
