MLB: Boston 10, Houston 4

HOUSTON, July 2 (UPI) -- Adrian Gonzalez went 3-for-5 and triggered a three-run, first-inning outburst with an RBI single Saturday in Boston's 10-4 interleague victory over Houston.

Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis each added three hits and a run batted in for the Red Sox, who pounded out 13 hits en route to clinching their three-game series at Minute Maid Park.

Darnell McDonald socked a three-run homer in the eighth to ice the victory and Yamaico Navarro added a solo shot in Boston's win.

Andrew Miller (2-0) notched his second win in his third major league start, yielding two runs on seven hits and two walks in six frames. He struck out three.

Houston's J.A. Happ (3-10), meanwhile, stretched his winless streak to nine games, surrendering five runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings.

Michael Bourne went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and Hunter Pence added three hits, including a solo homer, and pushed across another run with a bases-loaded walk for the Astros.
