SEATTLE, June 29 (UPI) -- Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4 with a two-run single and Derek Lowe posted his first victory since early May Wednesday in Atlanta's 5-3 win over Seattle.
The Braves held a 2-0 lead with two outs in the fifth inning when they put runners at second and third. Freeman came up and lined 1-2 pitch from Felix Hernandez (8-7) into center field, breaking the contest open.
Brooks Conrad added a run-scoring single for Atlanta, which wrapped up a three-game sweep of the Mariners.
Lowe (4-6) went six innings, yielding one run on four hits in collecting his first victory since May 6. The right-hander walked three and struck out five.
Craig Kimbrel tossed a 1-2-3 ninth, notching his 23rd save for the Braves.
Hernandez was touched for five runs on 10 hits over a 7 2/3-inning start, issuing three walks and striking out six for the Mariners.
Dustin Ackley belted a two-run homer for Seattle.
