MLB: Seattle 2, Florida 1 (10 innings)

SEATTLE, June 27 (UPI) -- Dustin Ackley scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch during an intentional walk in the 10th inning Sunday, boosting Seattle to a 2-1 win over Florida.

Ackley (3-for-5) led off the 10th with a double off Randy Choate (0-1). Steve Cishek came in to pitch and retired Miguel Olivo on a long fly with Ackley advancing to third.

The Marlins then opted to intentionally walk Carlos Peguero. After tossing three balls, Cishek uncorked a throw that sailed over catcher John Buck's head, prompting Ackley to break for home.

Buck retrieved the ball and threw it to Cishek covering the plate, but the pitcher dropped the throw and Ackley slid home safely with the go-ahead run.

The bizarre play made a winner of David Pauley, who had tossed a scoreless ninth, and Brandon League racked up his 21st save for the M's, who took the rubber match of a three-game interleague series with the Marlins.

Seattle starter Doug Fister threw eight innings of one-run ball, yielding eight hits, walking none and fanning three batters.

Florida's Anibal Sanchez surrendered one run in six hits in a six-inning start.
