SAN FRANCISCO, June 25 (UPI) -- Sacrifice flies by Pablo Sandoval and Aubrey Huff produced two of San Francisco's three unearned runs in the sixth Friday and the Giants nipped Cleveland 4-3.
Cleveland managed only two hits, but the Indians held a 3-1 lead going into the sixth, when two errors by first baseman Carlos Santana led to a rally that brought the Giants their third straight win.
Carlos Carrasco (7-4) went the distance for the Indians and took the loss despite allowing only one earned run on six hits.
Carrasco gave up a leadoff single to Chris Stewart in the sixth and Santana then threw wildly to second on a fielder's choice grounder by Nate Schierholtz.
After a single by Andres Torres loaded the bases, Santana misplayed a grounder by Emmanuel Burriss which allowed Stewart to score. Sandoval and Huff then delivered consecutive sacrifice flies to put San Francisco in front.
Santiago Casilla (1-1) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of relief. Brian Wilson struck out one in a perfect ninth for his 22nd save.
