MLB: Oakland 4, San Francisco 2

OAKLAND, Calif., June 19 (UPI) -- Hideki Matsui delivered a tiebreaking, two-run single in the fifth inning Saturday, boosting the Oakland Athletics to a 4-2 win over San Francisco.

Trailing 2-0 entering the fifth, the A's scored four times to grab the lead and then hung on to win their second straight against the Giants in their Bay Area interleague rivalry series.

Daric Barton and Cliff Pennington notched RBIs to forge a 2-2 tie before Matsui lined a single to right, scoring Pennington and Coco Crisp with the go-ahead runs.

The rally made a winner of Brad Ziegler (2-0), who relieved starter Guillermo Moscoso and struck out Cody Ross to end the fifth after the Giants had scored two runs.

Joey Devine, Brian Fuentes and Grant Balfour each tossed a scoreless frame and Andrew Bailey earned his fourth save to preserve the A's win.

Jonathan Sanchez (4-5) took the loss for San Francisco, lasting only 4 2/3 innings. He surrendered four runs on six hits before exiting.
