Vinci wins UNICEF Open

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 18 (UPI) -- Roberta Vinci collected her second WTA title of the year Saturday when she defeated Jelena Dokic at the UNICEF Open tennis tournament in the Netherlands.

Vinci improved to 5-1 lifetime in career finals with a 6-7 (7-9), 6-3, 7-5 victory over Dokic. It was Vinci's second championship of the year. She also won at Barcelona.

Dokic grabbed the advantage by converting her fifth set point opportunity in the first set before Vinci used solid play to even the match.

An eighth-game break in the third set put Vinci in position to finish off the match. Dokic broke back but Vinci notched another service break and then held serve for the title.

Vinci won $37,000 along with her fifth career championship. Dokic took home $19,000.
