EASTBOURNE, England, June 13 (UPI) -- Seeded players Alexandr Dolgopolov and Pablo Andujar were ousted Monday in first-round action at the Aegon International tennis tournament in England.
Dolgopolov, seeded second, was defeated by Carlos Berlocq 7-5, 6-2. Berlocq had five service breaks in 10 receiving games. Dolgopolov won barely half the points on serve.
Igor Kunitsyn eliminated Andujar, who was seeded seventh, 7-5, 6-1. Kunitsyn won two-thirds of the points in the second set when Andujar was good on just 37 percent of his first serves.
A third seeded player on Monday's schedule -- fourth seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez -- is also in danger of an early exit. Somdev Devvarman was ahead of Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 5-3, with Garcia-Lopez set to serve, when play was called Monday because of darkness.
In other completed matches Monday, Radek Stepanek was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Colin Fleming while Mikhail Kukushkin beat Lu Yen-hsun 6-3, 6-3 and Grigor Dimitrov advanced with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 decision over Daniel Evans.
Also, Julien Benneteau got past Ryan Sweeting 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) and Andreas Seppi came from behind in taking out Tobias Kamke 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
