SAN DIEGO, June 11 (UPI) -- Michael Morse hit a two-run homer in the second Friday and the Washington Nationals' pitching corps made that stand up for a 2-1 victory over San Diego.
Starter and winner Jason Marquis (7-2) allowed three hits and a run over six innings, Tyler Clippard struck out three in a two-inning stint and Drew Storen, with the help of a double play grounder, worked the ninth for his 13th save.
