MLB: Texas 9, Minnesota 3

MINNEAPOLIS, June 11 (UPI) -- Michael Young had two of his three RBI during a seven-run second inning Friday and the Texas Rangers went on to defeat Minnesota 9-3.

It was the first win for the Rangers at Target Field, where they lost in all six trips during the stadium's inaugural season of 2010. Texas fell to Minnesota in the series opener Thursday before breaking loose with a big inning Friday.

Texas sent 11 men to the plate in the second and scored seven times on six hits. The Rangers benefited from a fielding error by second baseman Alexi Casilla that made four of the runs unearned.

Mike Napoli, Yorvit Torrealba, Elvis Andrus and Craig Gentry all had RBI singles in the inning before Young drove in two runs with a base hit to right. Young scored the final run of the inning on a double by Adrian Beltre.

Young had an RBI single in the sixth.

C.J. Wilson (7-3) gave up three runs on eight hits over seven innings to get the win.

The seven runs in the second all came against Brian Duensing (3-6).
