MLB: Atlanta 3, Florida 2 (10 innings)

MIAMI, June 8 (UPI) -- Freddie Freeman's one-out single in the 10th scored Chipper Jones from second Wednesday, bringing the Atlanta Braves a 3-2 victory over Florida.

The Braves let a two-run lead get away in the ninth, costing starter Derek Lowe a chance at victory after he had taken a no-hitter into the seventh.

Florida was down to its last out in the ninth when Mike Stanton tied it on a two-run single off Craig Kimbrel.

Despite blowing the save, Kimbrel (2-2) became the winning pitcher when the Braves scraped out the go-ahead run in the 10th to hand the Marlins their seventh straight loss.

Jones drew a one-out walk from Mike Dunn (4-4), moved to second on a single by Brian McCann and came in on Freeman's base hit to center.

Scott Proctor tried to nail down the victory in the bottom of the 10th but he allowed a one-out double to Chris Coghlan and walked Omar Infante. Proctor then struck out Gregg Dobbs and was relieved by Scott Linebrink, Atlanta's seventh pitcher.

Linebrink eventually threw a third strike past Gaby Sanchez, thus earning his first save of the season and the eighth of his 12-year career.
