MLB: Kansas City 3, Toronto 2 (11 innings)

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 7 (UPI) -- Eric Hosmer's single in the bottom of the 11th inning drove in the game winning run Monday, handing the Kansas City Royals a 3-2 victory over Toronto.

Chris Getz led off the 11th with a bunt single and took second on a single by Brayan Pena. Both runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Alcides Escobar and Alex Gordon was then intentionally walked to load the bases.

Melky Cabrera followed with a line shot that was speared on a dive by Toronto third baseman Mike McCoy to keep the game alive. Hosmer then sliced a pitch from Frank Francisco (1-3) into right field, scoring Getz with the winning run and snapping Kansas City's four-game losing skid.

Hosmer drove in the game-tying run with a seventh-inning bases-loaded walk off Marc Rzepczynski and Joakim Soria (4-3) got the victory after tossing two innings of scoreless relief.

Blue Jays starter Brandon Morrow yielded only one unearned run on two hits over six innings.

Jose Bautista and Aaron Hill drove in Toronto's runs.
