ST. LOUIS, June 5 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols hit a walk-off home run Sunday for the second consecutive game, sending St. Louis to 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs in 10 innings.

Pujols, who beat the Cubs with a game-ending home run in the 12th inning Saturday, did it again Sunday, hitting a 2-1 pitch from Rodrigo Lopez (0-1) over the center-field wall for the victory.

Pujols' 13th home run of the year gave the first-place Cardinals a three-game series sweep of the Cubs.

The Cardinals forced an extra inning when former Cub Ryan Theriot doubled down the third-base line with two out in the ninth, allowing pinch-runner Tony Cruz to score the tying run off Chicago closer Carlos Marmol.

Theriot extended his hitting streak to 19 games with the double.

St. Louis starter Chris Carpenter yielded two runs on seven hits over nine innings but the win went to Fernando Salas (3-0), who threw a scoreless 10th.

Carlos Zambrano allowed one run on five hits in a seven-inning start and Aramis Ramirez contributed a two-run double for Chicago, which lost for the seventh time in eight games.
