WASHINGTON, June 1 (UPI) -- John Lannan and four relievers combined to shut the Phillies down on five hits Wednesday, boosting the Washington Nationals to a 2-1 win over Philadelphia.

Lannan (3-5) logged his first win since April 20, yielding only one unearned run on four hits in a 5 1/3-inning start, walking three and striking out one.

Todd Coffey, Doug Slaten and Tyler Clippard teamed up for 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and Drew Storen racked up his 10th save with a 1-2-3 ninth for the Nats, who took the rubber match of a three-game series against the Phils.

Jayson Werth delivered an RBI single and Laynce Nix socked a solo homer to provide Washington's offense.

Roy Oswalt (3-3) absorbed the hard-luck loss, allowing two runs on six hits over five frames.
