MLB: Oakland 4, Baltimore 2

OAKLAND, Calif., May 29 (UPI) -- Josh Outman hurled six strong innings and Coco Crisp drove in the go-ahead run Saturday in the Oakland Athletics' 4-2 win over Baltimore.

Outman (1-0), making only his second major league start since returning from 2009 Tommy John surgery, held the Orioles to two runs on six hits over six frames, surviving five walks while striking out two.

Joey Devine and Grant Balfour each tossed a scoreless inning of relief and Brian Fuentes notched his 10th save for the A's, who clinched their three-game series against Baltimore with the win.

Crisp's two-out single in the sixth scored Cliff Pennington to break a 2-2 tie and Mark Ellis added an insurance run with an eighth-inning solo homer.

Brad Bergesen (1-6) absorbed the loss, yielding three runs (two earned) on nine hits in a 5 2/3-inning effort for the O's.

Adam Jones and Craig Tatum drove in Baltimore's runs.
