MLB: Atlanta 7, Cincinnati 6 (12 innings)

ATLANTA, May 29 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones drove in the game-winning run with a single in the 12th inning Saturday, boosting the Atlanta Braves to a 7-6 victory over Cincinnati.

Jordan Schafer and Matin Prado drew lead-off walks from Carlos Fisher (0-2) and Jones made the Reds pay with a run-scoring hit that handed Atlanta an extra-innings victory.

The timely knock made a winner of Scott Linebrink (1-1), who blanked the Reds in the 11th and 12th frames.

Brian McCann socked two solo homers among his four hits and Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with a bases-empty shot for the Braves, who won for the fourth time in six games.

Reds starter Bronson Arroyo was rocked for five runs on nine hits over three innings.

Drew Stubbs racked up three hits and three RBI and Jonny Gomes went 4-for-5 with a run scored as Cincinnati dropped the middle contest of a three-game set against the Braves.
