NBA: Dallas 112, Oklahoma City 105 (OT)

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 24 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 40 points Monday, rallying the Dallas Mavericks to a 112-105 overtime win and a 3-1 Western Conference Finals lead over Oklahoma City.

Nowitzki scored 12 of his points late in regulation time as the Mavs went on a 17-2 run down the stretch, stunning the Thunder after trailing most of the game.

In the extra frame, Jason Kidd hit a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute to seal the victory for the Mavericks, who will take a commanding lead back to Dallas for Game 5 Wednesday.

Jason Terry scored 20 points and Kidd ended with 17 and seven assists for Dallas, which is on the brink of its first NBA Finals appearance since 2006.

Oklahoma City was led by Kevin Durant's 29 points. The Thunder star, however, was shut out over the final 10 minutes of the game and committed nine turnovers.

Russell Westbrook contributed 19 points on 7-for-22 shooting from the field for OKC.
