HOUSTON, May 23 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence drove in the game-winning run with a ninth-inning single Monday, handing Houston a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Facing a 3-1 deficit entering their final at-bat, the Astros got a one-out single from Bill Hall. Matt Downs struck out and Hall went to second base on fielder's indifference, then stole third after pinch-hitter Angel Sanchez drew a walk from Kenley Jansen (1-1).
Michael Bourn came up and lashed a double past diving first baseman James Loney, scoring two runs, and Pence then drove him in with the game-winner on a broken-bat single over shortstop.
Jeff Fulchino (1-2) got the victory with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the Astros, who took the first of a three-game set with Los Angeles.
Matt Kemp homered and Andre Ethier added an RBI for the Dodgers, who lost for the eighth time in 10 games.
