MLB: Chicago White Sox 8, LA Dodgers 3

CHICAGO, May 22 (UPI) -- Alexi Ramirez went 4-for-5 with a homer and five RBI Sunday, powering the Chicago White Sox to an 8-3 inter-league victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ramirez socked a two-run shot in the first inning and the Chisox never looked back as they took the rubber match of their three-game series against the Dodgers.

The Chicago shortstop also drove in runs with a second-inning double, a fourth-inning single and two-bagger in the eighth as the White Sox unleashed an 11-hit attack and won despite committing three errors.

Juan Pierre went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the victory.

Edwin Jackson (4-5) went 5 2/3 innings to earn the win, yielding one run on five hits while walking two and striking out seven.

Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda was tagged for six runs (four earned) on nine hits in a 5 2/3-inning effort.

Jerry Sands went 4-for-4 with a run scored for Los Angeles.
