NHL: Boston 6, Tampa Bay 5

BOSTON, May 17 (UPI) -- Rookie Tyler Seguin scored twice and added two assists Tuesday and the Boston Bruins evened the Eastern Conference finals with a 6-5 victory over Tampa Bay.

The 19-year-old first-round draft pick scored twice during a five-goal Bruins outburst in the second period and assisted on two more from Michael Ryder as Boston avenged a Game 1 home loss.

Ryder assisted on Seguin's first goal and Nathan Horton chipped in with a goal and two helpers for the Bruins.

Tim Taylor was busy in goal, turning aside 36-of-41 shots. But he yielded third-period tallies to Steven Stamkos and Dominic Moore -- allowing the Lightning to pull to within a goal -- and had to hang on over the final 6:45 to secure the win.

Vincent Lecavalier notched a goal and three assists and Stamkos contributed a pair of helpers for the Bolts, who will seek to grab the advantage when the series shifts to Tampa for Thursday's Game 3.

The Lightning's Dwayne Roloson stopped 21-of-27 shots and was pulled after two periods. Mike Smith entered and turned aside all eight shots he saw the rest of the way.
