MLB: Boston 7, New York Yankees 5

NEW YORK, May 16 (UPI) -- Kevin Youkilis tied the score with a three-run homer and David Ortiz hit a go-ahead shot Sunday in Boston's 7-5 comeback win over the New York Yankees.

The Red Sox trailed 4-1 in the third inning when Youkilis brought Boston even with a clout off Freddy Garcia (2-3) and Ortiz's solo blast in the fifth put the Bosox ahead for good at 5-4.

Jonathan Papelbon picked up his seventh save in the ninth as the Bosox reached the .500 mark for the first time this season at 20-20.

Garcia yielded five runs (four earned) on six hits in a 5 1/3-inning start for the Yankees, who dropped their fifth straight and ninth in 12 games.

Curtis Granderson hit a two-run homer and Andruw Jones added a solo shot for New York.
