CHICAGO, May 15 (UPI) -- Chicago's Derrick Rose and Luol Deng combined for 49 points Sunday and the Bulls took the opener of the Eastern Conference finals with a 103-82 win over Miami.
Rose drained a trio of 3-pointers en route to 28 points and Deng added 21 to go with seven rebounds for the Bulls, who went on a 15-5 run midway through the third period to break the game open.
Rose ignited the run with a 3-pointer, putting the Bulls ahead for good at 60-58, and scored seven point during the span.
Carlos Boozer added 14 points and nine boards, and Joakim Noah contributed nine and 14 for the Bulls.
Chris Bosh scored 30 points to go with nine rebounds and Dwyane Wade provided 18 points for the Heat.
LeBron James was held to 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting for Miami, which was outrebounded 45-33.
