MLB: Milwaukee 9, Pittsburgh 6

MILWAUKEE, May 15 (UPI) -- Ryan Braun hit a three-run homer in the first inning Sunday and the Milwaukee Brewers went on to a 9-6 victory over Pittsburgh.

Casey McGehee followed Ryan's blast with a solo shot, putting the Brewers up 4-0 after the first frame.

Braun added an RBI triple in the second and Jonathan Lucroy belted a two-run homer among his three RBI for Milwaukee, which swept a three-game set against the Pirates at Miller Field.

Zack Greinke (2-1) earned the victory despite allowing five runs on six hits over five innings.

Pittsburgh starter Kevin Correia (5-4) was rocked for six runs on eight hits and was chased after four innings of work.

Neil Walker homered and Andrew McCutchen added a run-scoring triple as the Pirates battled back with five runs in the fifth, but they could get no closer.
