MLB: New York Mets 6, Houston 4

HOUSTON, May 14 (UPI) -- Fernando Martinez and David Wright both hit two-run homers in the eighth Friday, bringing the New York Mets from behind to a 6-4 win over Houston.

The Astros cruised to a 4-0 advantage through six innings but Houston starter Bud Norris and reliever Jeff Fulchino combined to give up the lead. Jason Bay hit a solo homer for the Mets in the seventh and New York made up the rest of the deficit in the eighth.

Justin Turner led off the big inning with a single and scored one out later on a homer by Martinez, who was pinch-hitting for pitcher Pat Misch.

Norris next walked Jose Reyes before being relieved by Fulchino, who got Josh Thole on a fly ball for the second out of the inning. David Wright then put New York in front with a homer to left.

Fulchino (0-1) suffered his first loss in 20 appearances this season.

Jason Pridie's RBI double in the ninth added a run for the Mets and Misch (1-0) got the victory in a 1 2/3-inning relief stint.

Houston had two runners thrown out at the plate while losing for the seventh time in nine games.
