Collmenter (2-0), making his first major league start after several effective relief appearances this season, limited the Dodgers to two hits over six innings. He issued no walks and struck out three.

Aaron Heilman and David Hernandez each tossed a scoreless frame and J.J. Putz earned his eighth save despite allowing a hit and a walk in the ninth.

The D-backs got their only hit in the second inning when Stephen Drew singled, went to third on a throwing error by Dodgers starter Chad Billingsley (2-3) and scored on Melvin Mora's sacrifice fly.

Billingsley yielded only the one hit and two walks in eight frames, and struck out eight for Los Angeles.
