BOSTON, May 9 (UPI) -- LeBron James pumped in 35 points Monday and the Miami Heat took a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinal series with a 98-90 overtime win over Boston.
James, who hauled down 14 rebounds, hit a 15-foot jumper at the start of overtime to put Miami ahead and the Heat went on to outscore the Celtics 12-4 in the extra frame.
Dwyane Wade added 28 points, going 12-of-14 from the free throw line, and Chris Bosh contributed 20 points and 12 boards for Miami.
The Celtics shot 42.9 percent, with Kevin Garnett going 1-for-10 from the field and finishing with seven points.
Paul Pierce led Boston with 27 points but missed a potential game-winning jumper at the end of regulation.
The Celtics go back to Miami facing elimination in Wednesday's Game 5.
