DENVER, May 1 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh's Garrett Jones drove in three runs with a pair of hits Sunday and the Pirates handed the Colorado Rockies an 8-4 defeat.
Jones capped a four-run second inning with an RBI double and finished up another four-run outburst in the fifth with a two-run single for the Bucs, who took the rubber match of a three-game set at Coors Field.
Xavier Paul socked a two-run triple and Andrew McCutchen contributed an RBI in Pittsburgh's win.
Charlie Morton (3-1) went only 5 1/3 innings but earned the victory. He yielded four runs on seven hits and survived five walks.
Ubaldo Jimenez (0-2) continued his early-season struggles for the Rockies, surrendering four runs on six hits and four walks over four innings as his ERA ballooned to 7.20.
Colorado's Dexter Fowler had two RBI.
