NBA: San Antonio 110, Memphis 103 (OT)

SAN ANTONIO, April 28 (UPI) -- Gary Neal saved San Antonio's season with a 3-pointer at the fourth-quarter buzzer Wednesday and the Spurs survived in overtime to down Memphis 110-103.

San Antonio's wild victory cut the Memphis series lead to 3-2 and the Grizzlies will attempt for a second time to eliminate the top-seeded Spurs Friday.

The Spurs held Memphis scoreless for the final 1:37 of overtime and Manu Ginobili scored the final three San Antonio points from the foul line to give him 33 for the game.

The contest will be remembered, however, for two clutch baskets made by Ginobili and Neal in the final 2.2 seconds of regulation.

San Antonio seemed headed for defeat when the Grizzlies held a three-point lead with time running out. Memphis almost came up with a steal in the closing seconds but Ginobili grabbed a loose ball, dribbled to the corner and threw up an off-balance shot that was perfect.

Game officials initially indicated the shot was a 3-pointer that would have tied the game but replays showed Ginobili's left toe was on the line and only two points were awarded on the shot.

Trailing by one, San Antonio quickly fouled Zach Randolph, who made two free throws for a 97-94 lead.

The Spurs had just enough time to get the ball inbounds for a quick shot and it was Neal who took it. The buzzer sounded as the ball was halfway to the basket and it swished through the net to give the Spurs another 5 minutes to their season.

They took advantage of the overtime period while outscoring Memphis 13-6.

Tony Parker added 24 points for San Antonio and Tim Duncan had 13. Neal scored just seven points.

Randolph led Memphis with 26.
