NHL: Tampa Bay 4, Pittsburgh 2

TAMPA, Fla., April 25 (UPI) -- Steve Downie got the go-ahead goal and added two assists Monday in Tampa Bay's 4-2 win over Pittsburgh, forcing a Game 7 in their first-round playoff series.

Downie's third-period goal, 1:07 after Jordan Staal had forged a 2-2 tie for Pittsburgh, put the Lightning ahead for good, and they hung on to avoid elimination and head back to Pittsburgh with their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series knotted at 3-3.
