Quintero then made the Brewers pay, smacking a ground-rule double for an 8-6 lead. He stole third base and came in to score on Brandon Lyon's double to account for the final margin.

Lyon (1-1) was credited with the victory despite allowing a game-tying RBI double to Prince Fielder in the ninth inning. He tossed a scoreless bottom of the 10th to wrap up Houston's win.

The Astros' Hunter Pence and Carlos Lee each connected for two-run homers.

Ryan Braun smacked a two-run shot among his two hits and Fielder went 3-for-5 with two RBI for Milwaukee.
