MLB: Tampa Bay 4, Chicago White Sox 1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 20 (UPI) -- John Jaso hit an early two-run homer Wednesday that ignited the Tampa Bay Ray to a 4-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.

The Rays won their third straight over Chicago and will try for a four-game sweep Thursday. Tampa Bay has outscored the White Sox in the three victories by a combined 11-2.

Jaso's homer came in the second off Philip Humber (2-1), who allowed all four runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings. Casey Kotchman contributed an RBI double in the fourth and Matt Joyce had another one in the fifth.

Wade Davis (2-2) got the win with a six-hit effort over seven innings. The only run off Davis was a homer from Carlos Quentin in the sixth.

Joel Peralta and Kyle Farnsworth each worked a perfect inning of relief for the Rays. Farnsworth earned his fourth save.
