BUFFALO, N.Y., April 18 (UPI) -- Philadelphia defenseman Chris Pronger will miss the Flyers' first-round playoff game against Buffalo Monday night because of a broken hand, the team said.

Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren said via Twitter Pronger's status remains day-to-day.

Pronger, 36, was injured Feb. 24 when his right hand was hit by a puck and had surgery on it March 15.

The Flyers and Sabres go into Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series knotted at 1-1.

Pronger, who also missed part of the season with a broken foot, has four goals and 21 assists.

Holmgren also said forward Andreas Nodl will sit out Game 3 with an upper-body injury.
