CLEVELAND, April 17 (UPI) -- Grady Sizemore homered in his first game in nearly a year Sunday, sparking the Cleveland Indians to a 4-2 win and a series sweep of reeling Baltimore.
The Indians' all-star outfielder, playing in his first major league game since last May after undergoing knee surgery, bashed a solo homer in the third inning that gave the Tribe a 2-0 lead.
Sizemore added a double and Carlos Santana contributed a bases-empty shot for the Tribe, who swept a three-game set from Baltimore and improved to 11-4 on the season.
Fausto Carmona (1-2) allowed only one earned run on five hits over seven innings, walking one and fanning five to earn the victory.
Chris Perez notched his fifth save with a 1-2-3 ninth for Cleveland.
The Orioles, meanwhile, dropped their seventh straight contest.
Brad Bergesen (0-2) was saddled with the loss, yielding two earned runs on six hits in a five-inning start.
Brian Roberts went 3-for-4 with a run scored for the O's.
