NEW YORK, April 14 (UPI) -- Carlos Gonzales hit a two-run home run and Troy Tulowitzki added a solo shot Thursday lifting Colorado over the New York Mets 6-5 in game 1 of a doubleheader.
Tulowitzki went 3-for-4 in the opening game of a doubleheader at Citi Field as the Rockies won their fifth straight game and improved to 9-2. The game was a makeup of Tuesday's Rockies-Mets game, which was rained out.
Greg Reynolds (1-0) allowed two runs on five hits over five innings, surrendering two walks in getting the win and Matt Lindstrom picked up his second save.
The Mets were paced by Scott Hairston's two-run home run in the ninth. Hairston had three RBI for the Mets, who dropped their fourth straight game. Jose Reyes had a double and a solo home run.
Mets' knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (1-2) gave up five runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings in the loss.
