NBA: Detroit 104, Philadelphia 100

PHILADELPHIA, April 13 (UPI) -- Rodney Stuckey scored a season-best 29 points Wednesday in leading the Detroit Pistons to a 104-100 win over Philadelphia.

The Pistons, who have missed the playoffs for a second straight year, closed their season with four wins in five games. Detroit won despite missing three foul shots in the final 10 seconds.

Stuckey gave Detroit the lead for good inside the 2-minute mark.

Jrue Holiday had 21 points to lead Philadelphia, which will go into the post-season as the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers will open the playoffs in Miami Saturday.

The 76ers closed out the regular season by losing five of their last six outings, but they are in the playoffs for the third time in four years. They closed out the campaign with a 41-41 record and failed in their bid for their first winning record in six seasons.

Philadelphia won 14 more games than it did a year ago.
