SEATTLE, April 12 (UPI) -- Luis Rodriguez singled in two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth Monday in delivering the Seattle Mariners an 8-7 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Seattle scored all of its runs in the final three innings, including a five-run rally in the eighth, to wipe out a seven-run deficit.
Michael Saunders led off the ninth with a double and advanced on a sacrifice. After another out, Ichiro Suzuki was intentionally walked and stole second. Rodriguez sent a drive over a drawn-in outfield that scored both runs for the walk-off win.
Shawn Camp (0-1), who hadn't given up a run in his previous six appearances, was charged with both runs and took the loss while Josh Lueke (1-0), who pitched the ninth, got the win for Seattle.
The Mariners got into position for Rodriguez's heroics with a five-run eighth that included three walks with the bases loaded and a Justin Smoak two-run single. Seattle's first run came on Milton Bradley's seventh-inning home run.
Toronto built its 7-0 lead behind a three-hit, two-run effort by Jayson Nix and a two-run home run from Corey Patterson.
