Firm assessing Dodger Stadium security

LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) -- The owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers said he has hired a firm run by a former police chief to recommend improvements for Dodgers Stadium security.

Dodgers owner Frank McCourt said Wednesday he has hired Kroll Associates, a firm run by former Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton, to assess security at the stadium and make recommendations for improvements, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Bratton said his team will look as issues including lighting in the parking lots, alcohol policies and security personnel.

The move comes after an attack at the stadium on opening day left a San Francisco Giants fan in a coma.
