SAN FRANCISCO, April 8 (UPI) -- Jury members in the Barry Bonds perjury trial ended their deliberations for the week Friday without reaching a verdict.

The eight men and four women were given the case at 8:30 a.m. PDT Friday. They will resume their task Monday.

Before heading home for the weekend, members of the jury asked for testimony from Bonds' former personal shopper to be read back to them. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston granted that request and the testimony of Kathy Hoskins will be read to the jury Monday.

Jury deliberations began on the same day the San Francisco Giants played their opening home game of the season -- and held a pregame ceremony to display their first World Series championship banner since 1956.

Bonds, who became baseball's all-time home run leader while with the Giants, is accused of lying to a federal grand jury when he said he never knowingly used steroids.
