MLB: Toronto 7, Oakland 6 (10 innings)

TORONTO, April 6 (UPI) -- Yunel Escobar socked a game-winning home run in 10th inning Tuesday, handing the Toronto Blue Jays a 7-6 victory over Oakland.

Escobar's long ball was his second hit of the game. He finished with two RBI and scored three runs while Aaron Hill contributed a pair of runs batted in for the Blue Jays.

Toronto won despite a short start from Jo-Jo Reyes, who went only 3 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on nine hits before being knocked out.

Carlos Villanueva picked up the slack, hurling 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, while David Purcey, Shawn Camp and Jon Rauch each tossed a scoreless frame.

Jason Frasor (1-0) got the victory despite surrendering a solo homer to Josh Willingham in the 10th.

Willingham went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Grant Balfour (0-1) took the loss for Oakland.
