NBA: Portland 104, Dallas 96

PORTLAND, Ore., April 3 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace hit 8-of-10 shots en route to a 19-point effort that carried the Portland Trail Blazers to a 104-96 victory Sunday.

The Blazers, who shot 53 percent from the field, also got 18 points from LaMarcus Aldridge in what could turn out to have been a preview of the Western Conference playoffs. Portland currently is the No. 6 seed the West and Dallas is third.

Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum also hit double figures in the Blazers' fifth win in seven games.

The Mavericks were led by Shawn Marion with 19 points, Rodrigue Beaubois with 18 and Dirk Nowitzki with 16.

It was the third straight loss for Dallas.
