MLB: Atlanta 11, Washington 2

WASHINGTON, April 3 (UPI) -- Atlanta's Brian McCann pounded out three hits and drove in four runs Sunday, sparking the Braves to an 11-2 shellacking of Washington.

Martin Prado also had three hits, driving in a run, and Nate McLouth scored three times with an RBI in the Braves' 12-hit attack.

Tim Hudson (1-0) was dominant over seven innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. He set down the final 17 batters he faced en route to the victory.

Jerry Hairston Jr. and Adam LaRoche led the Nats with an RBI each.

Jordan Zimmermann (0-1) absorbed the loss for Washington, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits over six innings.
